Film High Frequency Jet Ventilation

INSTRUCTIONAL FILM FOR HIGH FREQUENCY JET VENTILATION

High frequency jet ventilation is a special ventilation technique, specially suitable for airway related surgical interventions. Despite its widely accepted advantages, thereby regarding expenditure, accessibility of the upper respiratory system, degree of safety with laser application, excellent suitability for stent implantation and further numerous applications in anaesthesia, this valuable technique has not yet been adaequately introduced in teaching and medical training. This is also true for its use in intensive care, such as artificial ventilation in airway stenosis, respiratory distress syndrome, broncho-pleural fistula and many others. One important measure to improve the knowledge and expertise in jet ventilation has been founding of the "European Society for Jet Ventilation" (www.esjv.org) which has the main scope to establish a platform for exchange of knowledge, expertise and promotion of scientific investigations and training in this field.

Our company makes great efforts to improve knowledge and popularity of jet ventilation. Thus, we have produced an instructional film on the clinical application of jet ventilation. This film presents the techical, physical and physiological basics of this technique, and demonstrates its various clinical applications, such as in laryngology, airway and thoracic surgery, bronchoscopy and radiotherapy. Various features as well as the usual settings in different clinical situations are extensively explained.

This instructional film entitled “Jet ventilation - basics and clinical application” can be ordered against a stamp duty of 8.00 CHF.
